How can the NHL's standings leader be in financial troubles? It's just funny to me that a team that is kicking everyones tail in the standings can't pay it's players. Is no one in Ottowa going to the games? Wouldn't it be interesting if they won the Stanley Cup?

Cats are just to much fun!! Benelli's newest game is to hop up on my lap and help me while I'm on the computer. Actually, it's more like hide and seek with the keyboard. He gets right in my face and looks at the monitor or walks across the keyboard, I try to find the keyboard and type. It's hard to believe that I was always a "dog" person before I met this little guy.

In other more important news, The Stars are still going strong and currently leading the Western Conference standings. Monday night is Dallas Stars cap night. You can watch the boys beat the Ottawa Senators and get a free cap.

Gianni and I got presents all the way from The Great White North yesterday.

I was playing around with the digital camera yesterday and took some black and white photos of Benelli. For some strange reason, I had a burst of creative energy yesterday so I grabbed the camera and took these while he was lounging in the sun in front of our picture window. I love the way the light coming through our blinds cast these deep shadows on his face while he tried to catch a few kitty z's. This one is my current desktop.

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday season. Gianni and I worked...a lot.We had a good Christmas and are thankful for time spent with the family. Benelli seemed to enjoy his first Christmas...as much as a cat can I suspect. ;-)

We spent New Years Eve watching the Stars game with some friends. We both had to work today so we didn't make it a late night. I went into work this morning to feed and medicate any animals that were still boarding with us over the holidays. Let me tell you, 12 dogs can make quite a ruccous when they're hungry.

I'm not making any New Years resolutions this year, my goal is just to keep working out and start eating less fast food. That stuff can ruin an otherwise perfectly sensible fitness routine. I'm also looking forward to starting some Vet Tech course over the Summer if all goes well. As for my plans for this site, as you know I've not been very faithful at blogging the past few months, I think I'm going to change my format to a weekly update rather than (insert snicker here) a daily update. At my previous pace I've been lucky to blog on a monthy status. Anyway, I hope you like the new look. I did this redesign in an evening so it's not fantastic, but it's clean and fresh just like the New Year...
