I've been following Carole over at Netdiver since last years SXSW. She's a really talented person and the whole gang over there at Netdiver really know their stuff.

The other day I took some time to surf around and explore some of the E*zines that are linked off of the site. WOW! There's a ton of fresh info out there just waiting to be gobbled up. If you know where to look that is.

I've been trying to find enough creative energy to get me excited enough to totally overhaul pretty pink tutu. I, like I'm sure most people, have a tendency to go through the blahs when I'm so busy at work that I can't see straight. It takes every extra ounce of energy to make it through the days sometimes. The last thing I want to think about when I get home is working on a website.

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about SXSW again this year. Last year I went with Dink and Billy and I met and had the pleasure of spending time with a bunch of wonderful creative people. We came back from SXSW with a renewed since of creative energy. It's so great to be surrounded by such a fury of creativity. The panels were wonderful and thought. Some were just plain funny as hell.

Gianni is staying behind this year, but I hope to get him to join us in 2003. I know he'll have just as much fun his first year as I did. I will admit that it was a little overwhelming at times seeing all of the talent packed together in one place, but the opportunities to meet some many people in real life that I had only heard about or read their blog before was well worth the trip.

Leia asks the thought provoking question, would you rather give up sex or the web.
I say batteries or DSL?

Well, I spent a nice quiet weekend at home, Gianni went to Waco for Range Officer School so I had the place to myself. I took full advantage of the quiet time and totally vegged out except for Softball practice Saturday afternoon where I think I did some major damage to the throwing arm while throwing from 3rd to 1st base. The rest of the weekend I pretty much kept the couch company.

My right deltoid or rotator cup is really swollen now and I'm having problems typing and mousing at the office today. I was fine until Sunday night when it started to hurt. It comes and goes and it's definitely not a pulling feeling like a pulled muscle, it's more of a sharp deep pain like someone is stabbing me with a knife right in the shoulder. We have a game tomorrow night, but I'm not going to play. The way I feel now, I'd be to afraid to throw the ball. I'd be so afraid that the pain will return and I'd probably not be able to throw properly. IT SUCKS GETTING OLD. I'm just glad that I have been working out for the past few months, I'd have been in a lot more pain from all of our practices if I had not already been working out the upper and lower body. My recovery time has been much shorten than in past season because I have been using the muscles and trying to get them used to being used again. It's a shame what happens to the old bod when you sit chained to a desk for 10 hours a day doing the same repetitive motions. When I was waiting tables, I weighed a lot less and I was running my butt of for 8 hours at a time. Now I'm thankful for my 45 minute work out every morning.

Speaking of my workout, I've had several folks write and ask me how my diet has been going. Well, I'm tapering off a bit now. I've lost 15 pounds and about 6 inches all over, but the weight has not been coming off for a few weeks now. I'm replacing a lot of body fat with muscle now, but I have a lot more weight to loose. I'm not gaining any weight, but I'm not loosing any at the moment either. I'm not in a rush though, this is something that I plan on doing for the rest of my life. I really enjoy my workouts and I feel so much better than I did even 4 months ago. Thank you all for your support and best wishes, it really means a lot to know I have all of you pulling for me.

I ran across this quote in an e-mail I received from a co-worker today. I think it speaks volumes.

"If a dog will not come to you
after he has looked you in the face,
odessa apartment! odessa apartments! apartment odessa ukraine! you ought to go home and examine
your conscience.."
- President Woodrow Wilson

If you'd like to look as cool as the US or Canadian Olympic teams do, go check out ROOTS.CA.

I really love this years US Olympic Gear, it's 1000 times better than what they had to wear in Nagano.

Think of it as a minute of perfect symmetry — a certain magic moment that brings everything into harmonious balance. 2002 2002 2002.

That's pretty cool if you think about it. A bit of trivia you can throw out at your next party.

I just had the most wonderful Valentines Day surprise. I returned from lunch to find a single red rose with baby's breath in a beautiful crystal vase sitting on my desk.
Thank you baby, I love you!!!

Gianni found a kinky Animal Cracker last night.

Mark took some really great shots of "The Wedding". I think this is my favorite on.

What a great article about SXSW over at Digital Web. Reading it brought back a flood of wonderful memories from last year. I'm so stoked about going again this year. Yeah Baby!!!

This is the truest definition of Marketing that I've ever seen.

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, "I'm fantastic in bed." That's Direct Marketing.

You're at a party with a bunch of friends and see a gorgeous girl. One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you says, "He's fantastic in bed." That's Advertising.

You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and get her telephone number. The next day you call and say, "Hi, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Telemarketing.

You're at a party and see a gorgeous girl. You get up and straighten your tie, you walk up to her and pour her a drink. You open the door for her, pick up her bag after she drops it, offer her a ride, and then say, "By the way, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Public Relations.

You're at a party and see a gorgeous girl. She walks up to you and says, "I hear you're fantastic in bed." That's Brand Recognition.
